Project

Florida Turnpike Widening

Contractor
OHLA USA

Location
Florida’s Turnpike (SR 91), Southern Boulevard to Okeechobee Boulevard

At a Glance
Expansion of Florida’s Turnpike from four to eight lanes utilizing 6,500 linear feet of box culverts, 15,000 linear feet of prestressed Florida I-beams, 23,000 linear feet of prestressed pilings, and more than 300 precast drainage structures.

As Florida continues to grow, so does the need for infrastructure that keeps people and commerce moving safely and efficiently. This project is widening a critical section of Florida’s Turnpike from four lanes to eight, increasing capacity and improving mobility for one of the state’s busiest transportation corridors.

OHLA USA selected Alcrete to manufacture a wide range of precast infrastructure, including prestressed beams, prestressed pilings, box culverts, retaining walls, and drainage structures. Produced at our Florida City facility, these components are helping keep construction moving while meeting the demanding quality standards required for a major FDOT project.

Supporting a project of this scale required flexibility, coordination, and constant communication. As construction priorities evolved, our production, quality control, engineering, and logistics teams adapted quickly to changing schedules without compromising safety, quality, or delivery performance.

We’re proud to help build infrastructure that will improve travel, increase capacity, and support Florida’s continued growth for decades to come.
